Disgruntled Workers Protest on May Day

The National workers day (may day) in Abuja has been disrupted atleast for about two hours after angry workers shut down government officials representing the minister of Labour and Employment, Mr. Chris Ngige from delivering his speech.

Poverty has continued to increase among the working class in Nigeria while prices of items keep going on the high side everyday the workers argued.

To this effect, the disgruntled workers took over the podium area and chanted "we no go gree."

Meanwhile, effort by former Edo state governor Adams Oshiomhole to put the situation under control couldn't save the situation as it instead crumbled all activities in the Eagle square.

The angry workers threw water cans to the officials, it took the intervention of the police to disperse them from the venue.
